Who We Are
Pinoy WISE Movement
Pinoy WISE (Worldwide Initiative for Investment Savings and Entrepreneurship) movement started as a financial education program of Atikha in partnership with migrant organisations in its International Fund for Agricultural Development Financing Facility for Remittance (IFAD FFR) project on “Mobilizing Migrant Resources towards Agriculture Development”.
The financial education and investment mobilisation program became successful in changing behaviour of migrants towards saving and investing and it was adopted as by other partner organizations. Pinoy WISE became a network of national and local government units, migrant and family organizations, NGOs, cooperatives and other financial institutions and private sector that promotes financial education, investment and entrepreneurship to ensure that migration will contribute to the development of the Overseas Filipinos, their families and communities. From a project it was transformed into Pinoy WISE movement. Atikha acts as the convenor of Pinoy WISE and the co-convenor is Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP).
